IT Prophets Achieves
National Woman's Business Enterprise Certification
IT Prophets has been granted the status
of Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the Woman's
Business Enterprise National Council. IT Prophets
qualified for certification as a privately held
Georgia-based company with at least 51% ownership
represented by women.
When asked about the certification Jean
Landmesser, majority owner and founder of IT Prophets,
described the certification as "a great opportunity for
IT Prophets to expand our presence in the both the
public and private sector by filling the need for
minority BMC Software and Service providers in the very
male dominated IT Service Management space."
About WBENC
Certification is one of WBENC's three
core values: Certification, Opportunities, and
Resources. Certifying women owned businesses is the
foundation
of WBENC's mission, along with connecting WBENC
Certified WBEs with WBENC's Corporate Members to
facilitate real time business opportunities and serving
as a Resource to offer training that helps the Corporate
Member and the WBENC Certified WBE grow their capacity.
Hundreds of major corporations turn to the Women's
Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to identify
women owned businesses to satisfy
their contract needs because WBENC issues a Gold
Standard, national certification to women owned
businesses to ensure a qualified database of WBENC
Certified Women Business Enterprises (WBEs).
WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51
percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a
woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women
owned businesses complete a formal documentation and
site visit process which is administered by one of
WBENC's 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC
Certification gives women owned businesses the ability
to compete for real-time business opportunities provided
by WBENC Corporate Members.
